Century Sweeps Jamestown, Ties For WDA Lead — Velva Sports news

BISMARCK The showdown between the WDA s top two volleyball teams provided excellent play, but the team that denied Jamestown last month did so again. Century swept Jamestown 32-30, 25-23, 25-23 Thursday at Olson Gym to move into a tie for the lead in conference with one regular season match remaining. Rallies in all three sets helped along the Patriots (23-6, 15-2 WDA), who also defeated Jamestown (23-7, 15-2) last month in the Buffalo City. 6 5 freshman Lily Edinger had 17 kills to lead Century and also scored a block and three digs.  Parker Lutman had 10 kills, an ace and a dig. Lucy Falk hit 15 kills with a block and a half and 15 digs for Jamestown.  Claire Marker had 13 kills.  Amelia Newman served four aces.  Hannah Attleson had 40 set assists, 16 digs and a block and a half. After Jamestown led 15-11 in the first set, Century scored 10 of the next 14 points, including two kills by Lutman and one by Aurora Gross.  Lexy Walch evened the match with a kill at 24-24.  Three times,
